Thanks Agusta Flyer and especially a big thanks to Mecos for having the compatition!!! I was very surprised since I never won anything before in my life before!

I am unable to go home to visit my family in Denmark, so my dad called me a few hours ago and said that he is going to visit me for the holidays. I am teaching him how to fly helis, but it is going too slow. I think that an Eflite mCX would be great for training so that he can fly it around and really get some stick time :D

This is really a great feeling to win Mecos' and Hop-Up Heli Hobbies competition and what a surprise it is going to be for my dad :D Thanks to Mecos and hopuphelihobbies.com we will be able to have new fan of this wonderful hobby!! And, believe it or not, I have never seen an mCX fly ever and I have already started looking at the upgrades. I have no experience with this little heli so this is really a new for me :D

Mecos, thanks for a great competition that we all followed closely and especially for winning :D I can't stop looking at the YouTube video of the drawing... and especially at the nice lady so here is the link again :D

Again, thanks! I promise to post pictures and will let everybody know how it flies (even with my dad behind the "rudder")

Best regards,
Hans.

You are most welcome Hans,

I am glad to hear that it will be put to good use. It is a great and stable trainer heli and I myself continue to use mine every day. It’s not an Outrage 550, But its still loads of fun to zip around the house with. Just trim it out on the controls and you will be literally able to put the radio down and watch it hover. Although not as fun as zipping around the room. ;)

I look forward to reading all about the flying adventures your father is having with the MCX.

To make sure you get enough stick time with it, I included two additional LiPo's so you can charge and fly at the same time.

Happy Holidays to you and yours Hans.

And to all Fellow Flyers of RCF.

Thank you very much Mecos and thanks for the extra LiPOs!! I can ensure you that they will be put to a good use and I will post the pictures!

I am glad it is not an Outrage 550 that will be zipping around my living room :D Especially if I had over the stick to my dad. I am sure that we will have a lot of fun for the holidays.

Happy Holidays to you and your family and all that participated in the contest!

Best regards,
Hans.

I received the Eflite mCX between Christmas and New Year so me and my old man had a lot of time to play with it. Here is my experience:

The outer box had a rough ride so I was very excited to see if the heli survived the trip. Fortunately Hop-up Heli Hobby had packaged it really well so the original box arrived without a scratch. We opened the box and everything was as it was supposed to be and I immediately saw that Mecos had thrown two additional LiPOs in. Now we could really have fun :D I took a few pictures and after charging we tried to start it up. I started my video camera and gave the control to my dad. He should have the honor of take it for its maiden flight. It took off really smoothly and was amazingly stable. He could fly it right away and here is how it looked:

It was really amazing to see my dad fly his first circle and do nose in hover. It hangs in the air and for a coax it is really quite maneuverable. You can easily fly it from room to room and we even tried to land it on my hand. It is all in the video, but my camera skills are not the greatest. Really a lot of fun, so a big thanks to Mecos and Hop-up Heli Hobby for this great Christmas present!! It is still flying great without any problems and survived the trip all the way back with my dad.

Best regards,
Hans.

Glad to see the heli found a good and well deserved home. Hope your Dad enjoys it for a long time to come.
